NORRISTOWN -- There was a bit of backpedaling Wednesday morning in the District Attorney’s Office.
After reading the morning’s headlines, which detailed the arrest of a local church pastor, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. called his second in command into the office.
"I asked Risa if she knew about the case, and she said, ‘We didn’t approve that,’" Castor said, referring to First Assist-ant District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman.
Castor rummaged through the criminal statute from which the charges were derived. He then reviewed the case and realized a mistake had been made.
"The charges were withdrawn immediately," Castor said.
